A visit to Notorious..

Today we ventured down to Abell Point Marina to check out Notorious, Espain.

Notorious @ Abel Point Marina

Notorious is a recreation of a 1480’s caravel owned by Graeme & Felicite  Wylie. The boat is an absolute beauty and was researched, designed and constructed by Graeme in a build that took 10 years.

She is as close to original as historical records state and although she has some mod-cons like a bathroom, lights and an anchor winch these are subtly hidden throughout the boat so that she is as close to her traditional feel as possible. In fact, it took us a little looking to actually find the lighting down below.

Graeme & Felicite are currently cruising north and have stopped in the Whitsundays for the time being. The boat is currently moored at Abell Point Marina, Airlie Beach Qld (you really can’t miss it) and are welcoming people aboard for a look.

To go on the boat it’s $5 for Adults & $2 for kids or you can easily have a look from the dock however; she truly is quite amazing inside and we recommend going aboard.
